People contemplating higher study need higher writing skills. Anyone planning creative work needs masterclass skills.
Schools and universities used to provide such skills at a basic level. Today, they no longer do.
At least we have AI now. Problem solved, right?
No, AI will never be a solution.
For those who know what to look for, AI writing is just as obvious and unsatisfying as AI images or music. If you use AI, everyone will know and judge you for that. Also, your AI writing will be the same generic, impersonal slop that countless other AI users submitted. If you hope to stand out, AI’s the last thing you want.
The use of AI undermines your goals. Many universities regard that as serious misconduct, and might expel you. The book-publishing industry is even more hostile towards AI.
Worst of all, AI teaches nothing.
You still have to learn to write, but there’s a better way.
As I learned from thirty-plus years as a professional writer and writing teacher, courses don’t work. They don’t tailor content to individual needs, and don’t provide much of the most important thing: individual feedback.
I provide that coaching, tailored to what you need for your writing goals.
We’ll do one on one lessons via a combination of email and webcam. I welcome learners from anywhere.
